2016 Partner Country USA
The World’s Premier Event for Industrial Technology Highlights the World’s No. 1 Economy
The eyes of the world – key global players in industry, investors, high-ranking government officials, and international media representatives – were focused on a single country at HANNOVER MESSE 2016: the USA.
What does it mean to be Partner Country?
Every year, a leading industrialized nation is selected as the Partner Country of HANNOVER MESSE. Through a strategic partnership between the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Commercial Service, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, SelectUSA, the U.S. Embassy in Germany, and show organizer Deutsche Messe, the USA was highlighted as Partner Country of HANNOVER MESSE 2016 for the first time in the event’s history.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Barack Obama spoke at the opening ceremony and set the stage for America to present itself as a world-leading producer of cutting-edge technology and an attractive target for investment. There was increased visibility, signage, TV and press coverage, accompanying seminars and discussions (including the Transatlantic Business Summit): all with a focus on speakers from the U.S. industry and government.
